Renewable Energies

The regranulation of plastic waste is still an energy-intensive process. Many resources are used for work steps such as delivery, shredding, washing, drying and granulating. The InnoGroup therefore made the decision a few months ago to invest in a photovoltaic system and a heat pump. The systems are located on the roof of the two large halls on the InnoGroup site and, in the case of the heat pump, on the InnoPlastics AG site.

Energy from Our Own Roof

Key Data on Our Photovoltaic System

The new photovoltaic system is a powerful investment for the future. It is installed on the roof of InnoRecycling AG. A powerful transformer was installed to transmit the electricity. The energy generated by the solar system supports InnoPlastics AG in the production of plastic regranulate. InnoRecycling AG also benefits from the electricity produced in this way.

Key data on the system:

  • Module area: 3570 m2
  • Installed output: 748 kWp
  • Estimated annual yield: approx. 700,000 kWh

Recycling – not just for Plastic

Key Data on Our Heat Pump

The installation of the high-performance heat pump represents another important step towards optimizing energy use. The heat generated during production is dissipated and reused in the cycle. Sometimes the water for the car wash is heated, which was previously done with gas.

The key data of the heat pump:

  • Dimensions: 3700x2000x2000mm
  • Heat output: 530 kW
  • Incoming heat: approx. 28 degrees
  • Output heat: > 90 degrees
